Massage Terms: Massage Ocean Style, the practice of Pamela Ann Bennion, LMBT #2311
Traditional massage addresses the muscular system such as Deep Tissue.  It can
also address the circulatory system as with Swedish Massage.
Russian Medical
Massage
can be more specific and help build weakened muscle tissue, calm overly
excited nerves, relax trigger points as well as muscle tissue knots for example.  The
direction of strokes along with the amount of pressure and the position of the limb
and/or body is also important.  These points are particularly important when
addressing the circulatory system as well as the lymphatic system.
With today's modern stresses and sedetary lifestyle most individual's need some
sort of energetic and emotional release or balance.  Everyone has a physical level,
emotional level, etheric level(energy level), mental and lastly spiritual level
sort of like a layer cake. When one of our systems breaks down we can become ill,
overly stressed and basically unhappy.  By noting the body's structural imbalances
and energy 'highs & lows'
Polarity Therapy's assists the body in bringing itself back
into balance and to recover.
Reflexology addresses the energetic imbalances found in the body.  There are a few
different ways to address this.  You can address specific points found on the feet
which correspond to specific organs.  Or you can address the upper & lower body
zones.  "As above, so below...that which is above is reflected in the area below.
And that which is below has representation above which governs it".
My session consists of
   1) of a visual intack of your structure,
   2) listening to your need for the days session and
   3) noticing the presence of your stress at that time.
Once on the table I assess the looseness or hardness of your soft tissue(muscle), the
freedom or limitation of your structure and then note the strength and weakness of
your energy.  Lighter or deeper work
can be done depending on the your needs and
wishes.
Loose cotton clothing can be worn as well as the traditional 'non-clothing'
approach to fit your comfort level!
